Privacy Policy

Effective 2 September 2026

Chinook Screw Piles installs screw pile foundations and operates from Calgary, AB. Below you will find the personal information we gather, our reasons for gathering it, and the requests you are entitled to make about it. It is written in everyday language on purpose, not copied from a template.

Information we gather

We limit it to what quoting and completing a job actually requires.

  • Submitted via our online forms: your name and phone number, an email address if you choose to include one, where the project is, what you plan to build, and any drawings or photos you decide to attach.
  • By telephone: we jot down your name, your number and what you called about in our internal notes. Calls themselves are never recorded.
  • During a job: the address of the site and whatever billing details an invoice needs.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider automatically logs IP addresses, browser types and which pages were requested.

Banking or card details, government ID numbers and similar sensitive information are not something we request or want. Please leave them out of anything you send through the form.

How we use it

Your information lets us price the job, book and finish the installation, put together any engineering or permit paperwork the project needs, bill you, and maintain a record of what went into the ground at each property. Installation records such as torque readings and as-builts are retained because you, a later owner of the property, an engineer or an insurance company might ask for them long after the work is done.

Sharing

Personal information is never sold, and nobody else receives it for their own marketing. The minimum needed goes to these parties and no others:

  • An engineer, when your project calls for stamped drawings
  • The permit office, if a permit application asks for it
  • Any subcontractor on your job, restricted to what their part of the work requires
  • Our accountant plus the bookkeeping or payment services used for billing
  • Any party the law obliges us to disclose to

Cookies and analytics

No tracking or advertising cookies are set by this site, and no third-party ad pixels run on it.

Should we ever introduce analytics, this page will be revised to name the tool and describe what it gathers before it is switched on.

Retention

An enquiry that never turns into a job is deleted after no more than two years. For finished projects, we hold contracts, invoices, engineering documents and installation records for as long as warranty, liability, tax or professional-record obligations may require. That is usually a number of years, and installation records in particular may be kept a good deal longer.

Your rights

Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act entitles you to find out which of your personal details we hold, to receive a copy, to have mistakes corrected, and to withdraw your consent to our use of them. Be aware that pulling consent can leave us unable to keep providing a service.

To make a request, reach us by email or phone at the contact details further down and we will reply. Reasonable requests are handled free of charge.

Security

Every page on this site loads over HTTPS. Only staff whose work requires it can see enquiry or customer details. Because no system can be made completely secure, we commit to notifying you without delay if a breach involves your information.

Changes

Any revision to this policy will be reflected in a new effective date shown above.
